Web developer
Recently a few friends of mine had to deal with web developers as they got the idea to make an online based magazine for a small clothing brand to promote the clothing companies youth marketing strategy and incorporate the urban youths life-style into a publication that the targets would have access to at all time via their mobile phones and most importantly the internet.
Web developer refers to an individual or company that provides web building and maintaining services for their clients and/or customers.
As is usually the case when people from two industries meet the jargon and conversation had to be translated most of the time as the developer would mention scripting and to marketers that word is associated with copy for example.
What a web developer does:
• Design the whole site
• Draft layout and pages
• Find suitable host sites
• In required maintain the site
Good web developers will often set out a deadline of a week or two in advance giving themselves enough time to produce product that their clients would be happy with, much like the site mentioned above.
